We announce the death of Sonia McHugh (Duchess, Alberta), born in Calgary, Alberta, who passed away on October 29, 2026, at the age of 61. She is survived by: her brothers, Neil (Carol), Jerome (Jackie) and Trevor (Mandi); her nieces and nephews, Carolee, Vada, Jade, Joy, Tasheena, Alberta, Drae, Jane (Pernell), Smanatha, Chantel (Jim), MJ, Ronald Jr., Shane, Neil Jr., Barry Jr., Cody, Jocko, Zach, Larson, Ashford and Anson; her close friend Sharon Melting Tallow; and her extended family, Delorme, McMaster and Stevens.

Viewing will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Holy Trinity Church – Siksika Nation. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
