He was predeceased by : his parents, Stan McLean and Maude McLean; his brothers, Stewart and Robert; and his granddaughter Charlene.

He is survived by : his wife Ruthie; his children, Linda Herron (Les), Laurie McLean, Glen McLean and Geraldine Klein (Kelly); his grandchildren, Chris Kroetsch (Julie), Marianne Kroetsch, Tiffany Smith (Derek), Micheal Kroetsch, Jeff Herron (Stephanie), Michelle Rygus (Trevor), Matt Herron, Josh McLean, Cody McLean (Luiza) and Riley McLean; and his great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Emma, Haylee Kroetsch, Harley, Wade, Steve Smith, Kaitlin, Kris, Isaac Cullen, Lily Cryderman, Kelsy, Travis, Zoe Tudor, Elizabeth, Lily Herron, Cooper, Nora, Theo Rygus and Logan McLean.

Jerry took up curling at the age of fifty and never stopped until Covid.
