He was predeceased by: his son Krister; his parents, James Houston and Margaret Houston; his in-law Jennie Averill; his siblings, Newton Houston (Margaret), Pam Wild (Jack), Bill Houston, Tommy Houston and Morris Houston; his sister-in-law Barbara Ryan; his nephews, Scott Houston and Shayne Biy; his great-nephew Rhett DeLeeuw; Greta Marofke and Francis.
He is survived by: his wife Trudy Maki; his children, Tyler Houston (Juli) and Pam Burchnall (Byron); his daughter-in-law Raquel Gamboa; his grandchildren, Michelle, Eric, Nicole, Peter, Sydney, Carson Burchnall, Haley, Grace, Emma and Megan Houston; and his sisters-in-law, Joan Biy (Ken), Lorraine Houston and Ruby Houston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
