He was predeceased by : his parents, George Eklund and Margaret Eklund; his brothers, Walter and Eric; and his wife Frances.

He is survived by : his children, Charlene (Grant Schatz) and Jason (Melissa); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Kailey Schatz, Kittana, Kadence, Thane, Seth and Miranda Eklund; and his brothers, Russel (Nancy), Danny (Verna) and Clifford. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, other family and friends.
