He was predeceased by: his parents, Gafford Shillingford and Mathurine Philogene. He is survived by: his former wife Jacqueline Severin; his children, Clem, Tessa, Noella, Ricardo, Gail and Shari; his grandchildren, Meryam, Clessa, Janelle, Kane, Nicholas (Andreea), Kayla and Caome; his sons-in-law, David, Kent and Shawn; and his siblings, Gathline, Svelta and Howard. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Meryam's daughter and Clessa's daughter.
