With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alex Chaykowski (Edmonton, Alberta), who passed away on February 14, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Alex's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Alex has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria; his daughter Sandra; and his granddaughter Anastasia. He is survived by: his children, Lorna (Ken), Kelly (Anna) and Shelley; his son-in-law Murray; and his grandchildren, Shawna, Mike, Jason, Kayla, Beth and Mandy. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and many more extended family, loved ones, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 27th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Eucharist Parish (6425 120 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5W1M2).
