He was predeceased by: his former wife Maureen; his parents, Stanley Kowalczyk and Bernice Kowalczyk; and his siblings, Henry, Joe, Eddie and Jenny.

He is survived by: his wife Christine; his brother Victor Kowalczyk; his children, Debbie Jaraway (Reg), Joan Banner (Keith) and Ken Kowalchuk; and his stepsons, Rick Giles (Sharalee) and Jeff Wilk. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
