He was predeceased by : his parents, Manuel and Diamantina; and his brothers, Manuel and José. He is survived by : his wife Doris; his children, Paul (Tanis) and Dena (Andrew); his grandsons, Mason, Caden, Kyler, Benjamin and Reid; his siblings, Tony (Wendy), Norbert (Virginia), John (Karla), Ben (Rita), Olga (Daniel) and Darlene (Eduardo); and his sister-in-law Vicki. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a trust fund is being created in honour of Altino, to support family members of all ages during their loved ones end of life journey named "Altino's Heart Beat". Donations can be sent to [email protected].
