She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Oppelt; her parents, Iftemie and Xenia; her siblings, Tony, Peter, Mathew, Danny, George, Victor, Walter, Alec, Jean, Sophie, Anne and Eva; and her nephew Kenny.
She is survived by: her brothers, Art (Gail), Bill (Jo-Anne) and Carl (Melinda); and her stepsons, Dennis and Milton Oppelt. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
