It is with sadness that the passing of Anne (Chababa) Glowinski (Edmonton, Alberta) is shared. Anne, born on October 21, 1934, passed away on October 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucy Chababa and William Chababa; and her husband John. She is survived by: her children, Ken (Judy), Dale, Randy (Brenda), Brian (Gladys) and Tammy; her grandchildren, Brad (Andrea), Grant (Erin), Jon, Brent (Gina), Brandon, Teryn (Mitch), Nicholas (Emily) and Britney; her great grandchildren, Claire, Piper, Alex and Gavin; and her sisters, Betty (Bill), Della (Fred), June and Jean. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Evergreen Funeral Home (16204 Fort Rd NW, Edmonton, AB T5Y6A2). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens (16102 Fort Rd NW, Edmonton, AB T5Y6A2). A reception will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 3:15 PM to 6:00 PM at the Evergreen Reception Center (16204 Fort Rd NW, Edmonton, AB T5Y6A2).
Anne spent many years involved in fundraising events, but in particular the 24-hour Hockey Game for the Matt Cook Foundation where she was an integral part for all 12 years.
