It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ardath Gay Effa (Edmonton, Alberta), born in Trochu, Alberta, who passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schmierer and Maggie Schmierer; her siblings, Leroy, Bernice and Irene; and her husband Herman.
She is survived by: her son Allan (Karen); her grandchildren, Carmyn (George) and Corrie (Ian); her great grandchild Jerilyn Bayer; and also, Jenise (Junior), Jessica (Felipe) and Julissa (Alex). She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hillview Baptist Church.
