He is survived by: his wife Julia Tym; his sister Magdelena Dreher; his nieces and nephews, Tracy Schlodder (Dietmar), Shelley Rushford (David), Lisa Tym (Stephan Frenette), Gloria Fanslau (Ron), Judy Dreher and Grace Kennelly; his grandchildren, Tiffany Vanderzyde (Jon), Michele Edwards (Derek), Shane Tym, Nicholas Schlodder, Kalyn Pocha, Tyler Pocha and Colten Pocha; and his great grandchildren, Rorie, Audrey, Quinnley, Ewan Vanderzyde, Theodore Fersovitch, Harlan and Reilly Edwards. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends, neighbors.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the McKernan Baptist Church (11103 76 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6G0J9).
