He was predeceased by: his parents, Ken Hutchings and Grace Hutchings; his mother-in-law Kay Kowalchuk; and his sister Joanne Chorney. He is survived by: his wife Nadia; his sons, Michael (Terri), Mark (Brittany) and Stephen (Alyssa); his sisters, Diana Doige and Arlene Flesher (Dave); his siblings-in-law, Max Chorney (Elsa) and Doris Pereschuk (Russell); and his grandchildren, Adam, Robyn, Amy, James and Parker. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, in-person attendance will be by invitation only.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian's name may be made to the Enhanced Patient Care Fund at the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
