He was predeceased by: his brother Real; and also Hildegard. He is survived by: his daughters, Shelley Porter (Kyle) and Amanda Bachand; his grandchildren, Rory Porter, Kirsten Porter, Kieran Porter, Ethan Batchelor and Baylee Batchelor; and his brothers, Leo, Guy and Richard.
