He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred and Edith; his siblings, Larry, Gerry and Patricia; his niece Ellen; and his granddaughter Lera.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, James (Tammy), Jennifer (Alan) and Jenelle (Stephen); his grandsons, Parker, Owen, Luke, William and Daniel; and his brothers, Dennis (Florence) and Eldon (Tere). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Edmonton Humane Society.
