He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Egert and Lydia Egert; his siblings, Waldemer, Hilda, Alfred, Leonard and Raymond; and his brothers-in-law, Raymond Riske and Ervin Stebner.

He is survived by: his wife Lilly Radke; his children, Dennis (Lynae), Brian (Beverly), Rodney (Jennifer) and Cheryl (Duane); his grandchildren, Alexander (Jaela), Joshua (Annaliese), Nathan (Hannah), Ciana (Breton), Brittany, Abigail, Ethan, Colton, Sydney, Kendyl and Noelle; his great grandchildren, Lillianne and Elijah; his siblings, Jennie, Lilly (James), Ronald (Margaret), Edna (Werner), Helen (Adolf), Harold (Grace), Eldon (Shirley) and Linda (Darrell); and his sisters-in-law, Erika and Esther. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
