He is survived by: his sons, David Sawatzky (Andrea), Darryl Jr. Sawatzky (Grace) of Edmonton, AB and Joshua Sawatzky (Tracey) of Edmonton, AB; his grandchildren, Evan, Ella, Finn, Phoenix and Gabriel; his mother Eileen Sawatzky of Edmonton, AB; his siblings, Catherine Koch (Rick) of Calgary, AB, Barry Sawatzky of Courtenay, BC and Gary Sawatzky (Amanda Shaw) of Edmonton, AB; and his sisters-in-law, Wendy Sawatzky of Edmonton, AB and Diane Sawatzky. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
