He was predeceased by: his grandson Jason Cunningham; his parents, Albert and Amelia; and his siblings, Alfred Hanks (Ella), Jim Hanks (Nancy), Frank Hanks, Elsie Posein (Walter), Agnes Roth (Ace), Anne Shaw and Gladys Pearson (Ron).
He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Hanks; his children, Donna Cunningham (David) and Murray Hanks (Joan); his grandchildren, Scott Hanks (Cassie), Jillian Meyer (Matt) and Megan Hanks; his great grandchildren, Copper Cunningham, Cody Cunningham and Spencer Hanks; and his sisters, Sadie Hancock (Vince) and Dora Miller (Ervin).
In lieu of flowers, donations in David's honour may be made directly to the Canadian Bible Society.
