He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Myrtle, William Etheridge, Alice and Maurice Foley; and his friend Jenny Swanstrom.

He is survived by: his close friend Maureen Hurley; his daughter Melissa Etheridge; his stepchildren, Jamie and Michael Mercer; his parents, Dennis Etheridge (Peg Downton) and Marion Jackson (Ray); his stepsisters, Karla Keats (Jason) and Denise Etheridge; and his nieces, Faith Brophy, Danica and Claire Whiffen.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will occur at a later date.
