The memory of Dennis Koens (Edmonton, Alberta), who passed away on August 11, 2025 at the age of 64, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Dennis may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dennis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his father Anton Koens; his sister Diane Koens; and his nephew Brad Koens. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his sons, Mitchell (Miranda) and Joshua Koens; his grandson Hendrick Koens; his mother Erminie Koens; and his brothers, Mike (Gloria), Dave (Eileen) and Mark Koens. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; and friends.
