He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Brass and Kelly Brazeau. He is survived by: his children, Kaiden Brass-Nyhus, Daija Brass-Nyhus, Dereck Jr. Nordin, Amanda Nordin and Autumn Brass; his granddaughter Kaada Brass; his close friend Amanda McLeod; his sister Kelley Brass; his uncle Stewart Brazeau; his niece Farrah Shingoose; and his nephews, Phoenix and Franky.
Viewing was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (10821 96 St, Edmonton, AB T5H2J8). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
