He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne Sroka and Pete Sroka; his siblings, Dougie Sroka and Pat DelColle; his parents-in-law, Rudy and Vera Kontek; his brother-in-law Gordon Jober; his nieces, Jody Tjelum and Lindy Kontek-Thirsk; and his close friend Rick Szott.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores; his children, Rob Sroka (Kim) and Barb Smyth (Norm); his grandchildren, Tyson, Karly, Sydney and Lindsey; his sister Maureen Danilak (Maurice); and his siblings-in-law, Caroline Jober, Ron Kontek (Joanne), Larry Kontek (Bonnie) and Kelly Kontek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Catholic Church (17511 112 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5X5X9).
