She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustav Schmidt and Emilie Schmidt; her husband Elwood Strand; her parents-in-law, Marlin Strand and Mable Strand; and her siblings-in-law, Elaine Deren (Cis) and John Deren.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Butkowski (Dennis), Stacey Urwin (William) and Fred Strand (Michelle); her grandchildren, Cody Butkowski (Kendell Kainz), Matthew Butkowski, Chantel Urwin, Jessica Urwin, Jewles Strand and Derick Strand; her sister Erika Bastian; and her brothers-in-law, Egon Bastian and Ron Strand. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
In Edith's memory, donations may be made to Haying in the 30's or to the Cross Cancer Institute.
