He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Bertrand and Paul Bertrand; his siblings, Leo, Louis and Charmaine; his siblings-in-law, George, Joy and Doreen; his nephew Louis; and his grandson Jordan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Van Aller (Chico), Michele Forbes (Bob), Denise Bertrand and Brenda Merriman (Sheldon); his grandchildren, Melissa (Steve), Kayla, Zachary, Alanna (Kierlan), Alisha, Raechelle and Dean; his great grandchildren, Savannah (Ryan), Meadow, London, Colton, Aubrey and Avery; his brother Don (Jodi); his sister-in-law Fran; and his close friends, Diane and Maribel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews.
