With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ekkehard Wilhelm Kottke (Edmonton, Alberta), who passed away on October 22, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Vicky; and his brother Wolfi. He is survived by: his children, Iris Routledge, Barbara Andrews (David) and Adrian Kottke (Gina); his mother-in-law Ruth Krafft; his grandchildren, Sarah (John), Lisa (Daniel), Amy (Calvin), Meghan (Thomas), Stephanie (Brent), Adelle (Simon), Ana, Kira (Sam) and Ethan; his great grandchildren, Rupert, Hadwin, Aspen, Maclin, Rhodes and Eden; and his siblings, Sibylle (Margarete), Gisburg, Elinor and Winfried (Angelika).
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Freemasons Hall of Edmonton (10318 100 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5J0A2).
