She was predeceased by: her husband Bert; her parents, Frederick Schwalbe and Ella Schwalbe; and her siblings, Helmut, Harry Harnisch, Curtland Schwalbe, Wolfgang Schwalbe, Hattie, Hildegard Rand and Hedwig.
She is survived by: her sons, Reg (Colleen) of Stony Plain and Barry (Eileen) of Bear River; her grandchildren, Tom (Judi) and Erin (Jon); her great grandchildren, Nathan and Sam; her sister-in-law Joyce Schwalbe (Wolf); her nephews, Clint Schwalbe and Fred Schwalbe; and her niece Cathy Altheim. She is also survived by many relatives and friends.
If you wish to honour Betty's life, donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Care Centre (the Cottages) in Stony Plain or to the Stollery Children's Hospital, Pediatric Cardiology.
