She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald McManus; and her siblings, Thomas Straarup and Ann Perry. She is survived by: her children, Gary (Teresa) and Dale; her stepchildren, Wendi Deines (Bob) and Terry McManus (Cathy); her grandchildren, Marcia Abbot (Jason), Michelle Mercier (Shawn), Shaun Barr (Janine) and Kelsey Bachand (Luc); and her siblings, Agnes Lundstrom (Clair) and Ken Straarup (Lucielle). She is also survived by many step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ellen's name may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories.
