With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Erich Nikolai (Edmonton, Alberta), who passed away on October 20, 2025 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Irene; his parents, Adolf and Olga; and his siblings, Erna, Klara, Edith, Johanna, Lucie, Eugenie, Richard, Emil, Edmund and Wilhelm.

He is survived by: his daughters, Monica Ortlieb (Harry) and Ingrid Roth (Alan); his grandchildren, Christine (Nathan), Jennifer, Raymond (Erica), Amanda, Andrea (Jonathan) and Jonathan; and his brother Waldemar. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church.
