She was predeceased by: her parents, Elisabeth Neitsch and Gustave Neitsch; and her husband Oswald Buech. She is survived by: her siblings, Ingrid Herdt (Helmut) and Reinhold Neitsch (Ria) of Germany; her sister-in-law Gisela Labrentz (Ruben); her nieces and nephews, Darren Labrentz and Corrina Pasarica (Daniel); and her sister-in-law Trudi Beyer.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Central Baptist Church (9419 95 St, Edmonton, AB T6C4K2).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Erika's honour can be made directly to White Cross, a humanitarian ministry of the North American Baptist Conference.
