He was predeceased by: his brother Otto. He is survived by: his children, Heidi (late Brian Cook), Thomas (Kim) and Martina (Jeff); his sister Elsa Appelt (Waldemar); and his sisters-in-law, Frieda and Renate. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
