He was predeceased by: his daughter Kathy; and his brother-in-law Bob. He is survived by: his wife Irene; his children, Kirk (Karen) and Karen (Bill); his son-in-law Wilton; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan), Julie (Jason), Ross, Hayley (Steve), David (Maggie), James (Stephanie), Heather (Chris) and Jeff (Emily); his brothers, Gordon (Sue) and Barry (Kris); and his sister-in-law Kathy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Kidney Foundation of Edmonton.
