He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Hynes and Angela Hynes; his brothers, Kevin and Johnny Hynes; and his sisters-in-law, Josephine, Betty and Evelyn.

He is survived by: his wife Thelma; his children, Angela Bereza (Darrin) and Stephen Hynes; his grandchildren, Justin Emery (Carley), Korey Emery (Chelsey), Aiden Hynes (Amy) and Bailey Emery (Angelina); his great grandchildren, Ava, Aubree and Paisley; and his siblings, Junior Hynes and Phyllis Walsh (Roy). He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
