He was predeceased by: his father Edward Kostyshen; and his in-laws, Isabel and William Bayda. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Kostyshen; his children, Shelby Kostyshen (Alyssa) and Haley Hansen (Simon); his grandchildren, Cal Kostyshen and Spencer Hansen; his mother Della Kostyshen; his sisters, Susan Ruiter (Jim) and Laura Krill (John); and his siblings-in-law, Donna Bayda, Bev Bayda (Ric Bartlett) and Don Bayda. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral (10825 97 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5H2M4). A burial will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Rosehill Cemetery (1605 141 St SW, Edmonton, AB T6W1A3).
