He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Maria; and his siblings, Ingeborg, Marianne, Hartwig and Martin.
He is survived by: his former wife Erika; his son Elliot (Fedra); his grandsons, Michael and Adam; his brother Joachim (Renate); and his niece Dorothy.
As such, donations in his name can be made to the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS).
