He was predeceased by: his father George; and his siblings, Brian, Gilbert, Tim, Tammy and Janice.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Hardy; his children, Travis Hardy (Tara), Ken Hardy (Ivy) and Melanie Ashdown (Myles); his grandchildren, Kira, Aaron, Maria, Carson and Chloe; his mother Iola; his siblings, Denis, Gerry (Wendy), Steve (Dorothy), Brenda (Sylvio) and Helene; his siblings-in-law, Sheryl and Pete; and his close friends, Larry and Bob. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Gord's name to the Heart & Stroke foundation.
