He was predeceased by: his parents, Toni Benkendorf and Ida Benkendorf; and his brother Gunther. He is survived by: his wife Erika; his children, Cara Kirkey (Jason), Scott Benkendorf and Brian Benkendorf (Lianne); his grandchildren, Liam, Callum, Brennan, Bradley and Chloe; and his sister Maggie White Gourlie (Bryan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hainstock's Funeral Home (9810 34 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6E6L1).
