She is survived by: her husband Jim; her son Terry (Nikola); her sister Anna; her grandchildren, Kyle, Kira and Thea; and her daughter-in-law Vicki. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many extended family.

“Auntie Irene was always my favourite Aunt, and I can't remember a time she wasn't there for me. I remember dancing at her wedding when I was 6 years old. I spent a couple of summers babysitting her boys and it was a great vacation for me to stay with Auntie for the summer because I loved being with her so much! She always came to see me when I got sick and never forgot a birthday or Christmas. Summers at the lake were another great memory. I love you Auntie Irene.”
