It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irene Theresa Innes (Edmonton, Alberta), who passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris and Karl; her siblings, Karl, Ted, Tom, Bev, Freida and Val; and her son Dean.

She is survived by: her husband Jim; her son Terry (Nikola); her sister Anna; and her grandchildren, Kyle and Kira. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many extended family.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery (16204 Fort Rd NW, Edmonton, AB T5Y 6A2).

“Auntie Irene was always my favourite Aunt, and I can't remember a time she wasn't there for me. I remember dancing at her wedding when I was 6 years old. I spent a couple of summers babysitting her boys and it was a great vacation for me to stay with Auntie for the summer because I loved being with her so much! She always came to see me when I got sick and never forgot a birthday or Christmas. Summers at the lake were another great memory. I love you Auntie Irene.”
