She is survived by: her husband Eugene Olsen; her daughters, Charlene Feuchter (Thomas) of Edmonton and Tammy Prenevost (Kelsey) of Lethbridge; her grandchildren, Mark (Brittany), Brandon (Mackenzie), Tyee (Michelle), Solomon and Amelia; and her sister Eileen Hartmann of Clairmont.
A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Clare's Catholic Church (6310 118 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5W1G1). Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery (13819 82 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5E2X6).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene's name will be graciously accepted to the CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) or the SMHC (St. Michael's Health Group).
