With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene Alvina Parenteau of Edmonton, Alberta, whose presence will be deeply missed. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Aldei Parenteau (Ed); her children, Brian Parenteau, Colleen Villeneuve and Gail Stevens; her grandsons, Jamie Parenteau and Clayton Crawford; her sons-in-law, Jay Villeneuve, Norm Crawford and Dean Stevens; her parents, Agenor Tourond and Alice Tourond; and her brothers, Napoleon and Terry.

She is survived by: her children, Judy Mackie (Frank), Alden Parenteau (Angie), Joy Crawford and Dale Parenteau; and her sisters, Bern Schmidt (Randy) and Annie Schmidt. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Bosco Parish (13503 40 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5A3L9).
