He was predeceased by: his wife Maria; his parents, Alexandrina Duarte Aparicio and Joaquim Barata; and his siblings, Benvinda, Maria of Jesus, Conceição, Amelia and Jose Antonio.
He is survived by: his children, Anabela Paskuski (Brian) and John Barata (Sandra); his grandchildren, Sierra Paskuski, Amelia and Alessio Barata; and his siblings, Manuel (Sherry), Carmo (Vitor) and Isabel (Toni). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A prayer was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church (12311 55 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5W5G1). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church.
