With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Robert McGinnis (Edmonton, Alberta), born in Elk Point, Alberta, who passed away on January 4, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick McGinnis and Florence McGinnis; his siblings, Douglas, Maurice, Dale and Ruth Detchon; and his close friend Andy Hrynyk.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie; his children, Michelle Shimenosky (Rick) and Douglas; his grandsons, Connor and Samuel; and his siblings, Gwen Croucher (Barry) and Gordon McGinnis.
In the last few years he and Jackie tackled a different type of problem as Jackie was diagnosed with Parkinsons.
