She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Ricou and Gladys Ricou; her grandchild Rory; and her parents-in-law, Fred and Evelyn Beever.
She is survived by: her husband Larry; her children, Carolyn (James), Christy (Michael) and Gregg (Erin); her grandchildren, Gavin, Finley, Graham and Isla; her brothers, Laurie (Treva) and Jack (Catherine); and her siblings-in-law, Linda (Lorin), Karen (Chesley) and Doug (Donna). She is also survived by relatives and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Park Memorial Reception Centre (11015 101 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5G0B2).
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Janis's memory are invited to make a donation to a charity of their choice.
