He was predeceased by: his parents, Govindji Patel and Bhuliben Patel. He is survived by: his wife Urmila (Umi); his children, Neelam (Raj) and Shetal (Jaimini); his grandchildren, Aishani, Khyan, Aadi and Shaan; his siblings, Niruben (Harish), Jashumati, Dinesh (Bhanu), Bharat (Ramila) and Jagdish (Shakuntala); his nieces and nephews, Mehul (Sheral) and Rooshil; and his sibling India. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

Due to covid, a private family service will be held.
