She was predeceased by: her parents, Dever DeFord and Mary DeFord; her siblings, Eugene DeFord (Frances), Duane DeFord, Dever DeFord and Bernice Batdorf (Dale); her brother-in-law Henry Dyjur; and her grandson John James Simonet.

She is survived by: her significant other Jim Kearney of Edmonton; her children, Shawn Simonet (Laurie) of Vermilion and Joanne Kalynchuk (Rick) of Elk Point; her grandchildren, Jenna, Aimee, Chloe, Kale, Tyler, Jordan, Sydney (Brenden) and Makenna; her great grandchildren, Walker, Raylyn and Syrus; her siblings, Ivy Dyjur of Clandonald, Anthony DeFord (Sylvia) of Edmonton, Mary Manweiler (Ken) of St. Albert and Barry DeFord (Cathy) of Edmonton; and her sisters-in-law, Simone DeFord of Stony Plain and Carolyn DeFord of Vermilion. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
