It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Baptiste DeChamplain (Edmonton, Alberta), born in Legal, Alberta, who passed away on December 3, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose-Aimee and Isidore; and his siblings, Denise (Jerry), Leon (Marie), Edgar, Roger and Yvon.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Provencal; his children, Madelene (Lee), Don (Shannon) and Gerald (Kerri); his grandchildren, Kelsie (Erica), Kayla (Brandon), Sydney, Madison, Taylor, Ashlin, Makenna and Jaden; his sister Theresa (Paul); and his siblings-in-law, Rita, Irene, Doreen, Loraine (Chuck) and Norman (Shelley). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home (9 Muir Dr, St. Albert, AB T8N 1G1).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cross Cancer Institute.
