He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Fidgen and Gertie Fidgen of Sydney; and his father-in-law Francis Newton. He is survived by: his wife Dora; his sons, Daniel (Rebecca) and Jake (Melissa); his sister Marlene (Tom); and his mother-in-law Catherine Newton. He is also survived by grandchildren, nephews, nieces, uncles and aunts.
