With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Groves of Edmonton, Alberta, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on December 23, 2025 at the age of 59, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Groves and Louise Groves. He is survived by: his wife Barb Young; his sons, Bryan and Jared; his granddaughters, Finley and Millie; his siblings, Wayne and Denise; and his nieces and nephews, Jaxon, Grayson, Everest, Rachel, Amelie, Coco, Scarlett and Delilah.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Stollery Children's Foundation, Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta, or Kids with Cancer as these organizations had a major impact on his life.
