He was predeceased by: his wife Gerry. He is survived by: his children, Allan (Marlee), Sharon, Darlene, Betty (Grant), Brenda (Jim) and Karen (Darin). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories.
