We announce the death of John Lim (Edmonton, Alberta), who passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 71. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
John will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew John will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. John’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Benjamin Lim and Ang Pie Hah; his siblings, Christina, Vincent, Jeffrey, Victor and Celia; his wife Anna Hwong; and his children, Susan and Bernard. He was also cherished by his family, a multitude of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM and at 10:15 AM at the Catholic Parish of Corpus Christi (2707 34 St SW, Edmonton, AB T6X1A5). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:45 AM and at 11:00 AM at the same location.
