We bid farewell to Jose De Sousa Moniz (Edmonton, Alberta), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 11, 2025 at the age of 77. Jose touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacinto Moniz Tomas and Maria José of Sousa Cordeiro; and his brother Eduardo. He is survived by: his wife Maria Odilia; his son Joseph; his grandsons, Nathaniel and Caleb Moniz; his siblings, Angelina, Abilio (Helena), Manuel (Dulce), Gil (Marta), John (Lurdes), Jaime (Idalina), Albertina (José Francisco), Jonas (Ema), George (Delia) and Antonio; and his sister-in-law Isabel Moniz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
A prayer was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (75 Poirier Ave, St. Albert, AB T8N6A1). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
